Last Updated: June 2026

Troop 26 uses photographs, videos, and other media to celebrate achievements, document activities, and promote the values of Scouting.

Youth Protection and Privacy

Troop 26 is committed to protecting the privacy and safety of all youth members. When publishing photos or videos, we follow Scouting America Youth Protection guidelines and digital safety best practices.

As a general practice, we:

  • Do not publish youth phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, or other personal contact information.
  • Do not identify youth members by full name in connection with photographs.
  • Avoid publishing information that could compromise a youth member's privacy or safety.
  • Review media before publication to ensure it reflects the values and standards of Scouting.

Use of Photos and Videos

Photos and videos from troop activities may be used on:

  • The Troop 26 website
  • Troop social media accounts
  • Recruitment materials
  • Newsletters and presentations
  • Other troop communications

Media may include activities such as camping trips, service projects, Courts of Honor, community events, training, and outdoor adventures.

Parent and Guardian Preferences

Parents or guardians who do not wish for their Scout's image to appear in troop publications or online media should notify troop leadership in writing.

Troop 26 will make reasonable efforts to honor these requests and remove or avoid future publication of applicable content.
